March 17, 2008 - Recent local economic development talks by Michael Shuman are now available online.

On March 10 and 11, Michael delivered a series of talks entitled 'Going Local: Building Sustainable Communities through Entrepreneurship' to practioners and community members in Archbold, Ohio.

The events were hosted by Northwest State Community College as part of the series entitled, "Back to Basics: Going Local and Creating Self-Reliant Communities in Northwest Ohio." The program opened with Michael's community-wide keynote address on the evening of March 10th and continued with workshops the next day.

The program focused on developing sustainable, local economies and discussed how community leaders, local business people, and concerned citizens can effectively face the challenges of a global economy.
